CHELSEA VS TOTTENHAM MATCH PREVIEW

Today’s encounter will see two of the most inform teams in the league square off at the Bridge. Chelsea is currently a team of dual identity; flying out of the blocks and putting inferior sides to the sword, then being more tentative against sophisticated opposition.

Although, they are still evolving as a team. The talk of Chelsea having a soft underbelly is now of distinct memory.

Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner and, Tammy Abraham have been firing on all cylinder thus far. Frank Lampard’s team have scored the most goals in the league as well as having one of the best defensive record in the current campaign. Tottenham Hotspur on the other hand finally have all the Hallmarks of a Jose Mourinho team with their performance against Manchester city backing my statement up.

They have beaten both Manchester club with a combined aggregate of 8-1 score. Kane and Son have dovetailed to devastating effect thus far as well. They also have one of the best defensive record in the league.

Reguillon, Hojberg, and Ndombele are doing admirably well in terms of application. Southampton were thumped 5-1 earlier this season which means this Spurs team also have loads of goal in them.

But, Tottenham Hotspur wouldn’t want to be reminded about their abysmal record at the Bridge. One win in 25 years, and with Lampard doing the double over his old boss last season will be something Jose Mourinho will have at the back of his mind. I expect a cagey affair with both teams being cautious.

A draw is the most likely outcome but, who knows? Timo Werner might have other ideas!!
